Direct Hire (or contract-to-hire)
Location:  Atlanta, GA (Dunwoody/Perimeter area)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join a disruptive startup that has the backing of Fortune 500 leaders.  This is a direct-hire opportunity in the Perimeter area of Atlanta.  
As the Data Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
  • Learning how the business uses data so that standards can be consistently applied to new data being added to the ERP system and cleaning up any data already in the system not conforming to standards using SQL and Excel as primary technologies/tools along with the ERP.
  • Thinking though use cases for data and work with various teams in the business to create consistent, actionable, and reliable data. 
  • Managing multiple concurrent data projects across multiple phases by owning the inputs and managing deliverables.
  • Further developing existing User Acceptance testing to ensure data meets use goals.  
  • Documenting standards, managing changes to how data fields may be used, and delivering requested changes to the data in the system. 
  • Working to establish efficient processes and practices to streamline data imports, conversions, and improve overall reliability of data and reduce the effort required to maintain data. 
  • Fixing/cleaning up, transforming, or standardizing large data sets in some way before they are imported to the database (in some cases one by one).  
  • Working closely with departments (like as Accounts Receivable or Sales) to get new data for importing into the ERP system and complete requests to create or update customers or products data, as well as identify root causes of problems with data.  The BI and reports team will collaborate with you to fix any data problems found.   
  • SQL with knowledge developing queries across multiple tables and MS Excel (minimum 3+ years)
  • Previous experience in data conversions and data scrubbing (a big plus)
  • The ability to define, document, and communicate technical details, and attention to detail 
  • A desire to learn, grow, and take on new and complex challenges with a great team of people in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly
