Our client provides specialist services for the Construction industry and they wish to hire a Payroll Clerk to process a small payroll of approximately 100 employees 

Essential daily duties will include:-

  • Handle correspondence and reports upon request
  • Collect weekly time-sheets, proof and correct if necessary
  • Enter the data into QuickBooks and process pay checks weekly
  • Process payroll and distribute paychecks  weekly
  • Maintain and update payroll including new employees, pay rates, and allocation rates
  • Administer new employee paperwork
  • Coordinate new hire safety training with Safety Manager
  • Administer insured driver changes with agent
  • Remit 401K
  • Execute payroll related financial transfers
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment with Benefits Administrator
  • Coordinate census information requirements with Benefits Administrator
  • Complete payroll tax deposit weekly
  • Assist with time-sheet automation

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years experience in payroll processing
  • Experience with small payroll i.e., 100 employees
  • Experience with multi-State payroll
  • Computer savvy
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus
  • Spanish speaking is a plus
