Project Controller (002)
Purpose of the Job
The Project Controller is responsible for working within all stages of project management. The primary role is to work
closely with project managers to ensure that all budgeting, scheduling and coordination processes run smoothly. The
Project Controller monitors the progress of a project to ensure that it is working within the confines of set deadlines and
budget limitations and generates progress reports to managers. The Project Controller also makes suggestions for
improvements to project operations as needed.
A Project Controller continually monitors and evaluates each step of a project to ensure that it is meeting budgetary and
deadline goals. The Project Controller reports to project managers, accountants, and management to discuss the
progress of each project and talk about budgets in relation to actual costs, schedule changes, project scope adjustments
and more.
A Project Controller displays strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and written/oral communication skills. The
Project Controller should be detail-oriented and can consistently meet deadlines and possesses the ability to work
independently. Among other aspects, it is important that the Project Controller displays the following capabilities:
? Evaluating step-by-step project management processes;
? Creating and adjusting project budgets;
? Managing complex financial monitoring tools to track cost development of projects;
? Creates meaningful project status reports to inform project managers and management;
? Forecasting project goals and completion;
? Developing project scheduling, budgeting and progress reports.

• Team: Accounting Dept. (3 members) and Parent Company’s Finance Department (approx. 10 members)

Responsibilities and Job Duties
The Project Controller:
• Has and maintains a solid understanding of the company’s accounting and financial reporting systems under US
GAAP as well as IFRS.
• Has experience in the accounting of long-term construction contracts
• Helps the accounting department prepare timely financial reporting for monthly, quarterly and year end closings.
• Controls the budgets and actual spending on projects and provides early warnings to commercial and technical
project managers as well as to management,
• Oversees and identifies plan deviations and recommends solutions to project managers,
• Create and execute internal controls in cooperation with accounting department,
• Manage project accounting databases,
• Offer direct financial communication with project team, accounting department, and managemnt,
• Ensure financial information accuracy for the ongoing projects,
• Conduct cost variance analysis and schedule against baseline values through a project’s life cycle,
• Recommend and execute corrective actions to handle project compliance,
• Participates in budget and financial forecast process,
• Supports management with special projects and/or workflow process improvements,
• Carries out any other related tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills
• BS degree in accounting, finance, or business administration required,
• 3-5 years’ experience with long-term construction contracts required,
• Computer experience in Microsoft Office products including Word. Extensive Excel experience required,
• Knowledge of SAP/R3 with focus on CO and FI module required,
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail,
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills,
• Positive work attitude, team player
