Our client is a market leader in the Real-Estate industry and they wish to hire a Senior Analyst, Business Operations that will be responsible for vendor management and oversee all financial aspects of residential utility management. This will include monitoring the effectiveness of the resident charge-back process and resolve discrepancies. MUST have Utilities experience.

Essential daily duties will include:-

  • Perform data analysis, cross-functional project management and vendor coordination
  • Coordinate all finance related utility activities with the following functions: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Reconciliation, General Ledger Accounting and FP&A
  • Work on process improvements, strategic projects and ad-hoc analyses
  • Report out status, findings and recommendations to key senior executive leadership 
  • Manage monthly utility resident charge-back process from start to end ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Review monthly pre-bill charge-backs for accuracy 
  • Generate reports, pull invoices, and conduct ad-hoc analyses
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of 3rd party invoices to ensure accuracy; follow up on discrepancies and pursue credit memos where applicable
  • Assist GL team with month-end closing related to utility journal entries and ensure required reports are provided
  • Monitor/maintain reporting and KPIs for 3rd Party performance and utility collections efforts
  • Maintain records of 3rd Party utility charge-back business rules 

Job Requirements:-

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Accounting Analyst or similar role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using Microsoft SQL Server (running / updating queries) or other RDBMS
  • Experience using Yardi Voyager or similar property management software is a
  • Knowledge of accounting practices, analysis and reporting of financial data
