Serves as an internal consultant to hospital management in the areas of risk identification and mitigation, internal auditing, process and operations improvement, performance monitoring, and statistical analysis.
This position requires an individual that is a self starter, has the ability to proactively manage projects and multiple priorities, works both collaboratively and autonomously with minimal supervision on broadly defined assignments, demonstrates tact and diplomacy in situations of conflict and controversy, and demonstrates excellent communication and presentation skills.
In addition, this position requires an individual who possess the skills required to: * Develop detailed project plans to include project tasks, timelines, resources, and status * Build relationships with “client” departments and effectively negotiate project objectives * Identify and resolve issues through cross-functional teams * Analyze, develop, and report recommendations to enhance department operations * Design and effectively implement change to achieve project goals
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Risk Management or comparable degree with a minimum of two years experience in internal auditing, public accounting, or relevant consulting.
Current CPA, CIA, or CRMA license or signed commitment at hiring to pass all parts within one year of employment subject to termination if those terms are not met.
Good analytical and communication skills.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Ability to use Microsoft Access, Project, and Visio.
Solid understanding of basic accounting standards and controls.
Basic understanding of healthcare environment.
Overall understanding of auditing procedures.
