Our client is a leading Financial Services and Advisory firm and they wish to hire a Senior Financial Analyst that will be responsible for examining, analyzing, interpreting and maintaining the accounts and records of the company to ensure adherence GAAP. In addition will compile and analyze financial and non-financial information to record transactions and review/verify the accuracy of the data and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.

Essential daily duties will include:-

  • Prepare and review the cost accounting financial statements, including analysis by product line, offering insight and additional metrics on how the data can be analyzed
  • Assists in accounting research
  • Helps maintain the company’s accounting records
  • Helps prepares quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements
  • Provides both analysis and insight into the company’s operation to achieve more profitable results
  • Assists with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processing
  • Master the inter-workings of Moody’s Analytics software
  • Helps prepare investor reporting 
  • Prepares footnote disclosures on the financial statements
  • Reconciles general ledger data to various sub-ledger and system data
  • Responsible for month-end closing activities – preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.
  • Identifies ways to promote efficiency within the financial reporting process to implement and/or incorporate best practices
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Prepares variance analysis on a monthly and ad hoc basis
  • Adherence to department policies and procedures

Job Requirements:-

  • Bachelor's  Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ year's experience in Accounting or Finance reconciling accounts, performing financial analysis and preparing financial statements
  • CPA
  • Requires Cost Accounting or Financial Reporting or Investor Reporting
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Stable work history
  • Banking industry or Financial Services background is a plus
