As a key member of the accounting team, this role will have primary responsibility for day-to-day accounts payable (AP) functions, cash forecasting, fixed assets, prepaids, journals, reconciliations and other daily and monthly general ledger accounting requirements. In addition, this position will cross-train on Accounts Receivable and act as a back-up. This role will work with the team to improve and develop processes within a fast-growing organization.

Role and Responsibilities
Manage the accounts payable process; including maintaining vendor records, processing invoices, verifying proper authorization and coding of all disbursements, ensuring timely processing of payments and communicating with vendors.
Manage expense reimbursements using Expensify and Intacct.
Manage American Express invoice entry and payment.
Create journal entries and ensure proper recording of prepaid; produce supporting schedules.
Create journal entries and ensure proper recording of fixed assets and depreciation; produce supporting schedules.
Prepare and enter other general ledger entries and reconciliations for month end closing including reversing, recurring and adjusting entries.
Prepare various balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare cash management forecasts.
Cross train with and act as back-up to Accounts Receivable.
Support team growth and implementation of process improvement opportunities

Qualifications and Competencies
In addition to an understanding of, and commitment to, the mission of Company, this position requires:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
2-4 years’ experience in a Finance/Accounting role with progressively increasing responsibility.
Highly proficient in Excel.
Thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with proven ability to work effectively across function and with leadership team.
A proactive and investigative personality who is able to dig into the details and has high standards with regard to the quality of their work.
Ability to work independently while maintaining positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally, to achieve the goals of company
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, particularly listening and interpreting for the purpose of achieving business goals.
CPA or on track to obtain CPA.
Experience with Intacct.
