Our client is a market leader in their niche, operating as a specialty restaurant chain, caterer and provider of food services for events. They wish to hire a VP of HR who will serve as a member of the executive team, overseeing the development of the talent management strategy focused on attracting, retaining, training, motivating, developing and managing top talent. In addition, this role will be responsible for development and training programs, benefits and compensation design, risk management, administration, employment-related legal compliance, and the day-to-day activities of the HR Department.

Essential daily duties will include:-

  • Lead or participate in the development of the annual strategic planning process
  • Participate as a member of the Executive Team in setting and developing the plan for annual initiatives
  • Create and execute the HR and Training Strategy
  • Mentor and coach the HR and Training team members and the Leadership Team
  • Evaluate coaching and training needs and direct the development of training programs and measure the effectiveness of the programs
  • Identify, recruit and develop talent for all areas within the company; build a pipeline to facilitate growth
  • Lead the annual performance and talent review process and provide training, coaching and guidance
  • Establish best practice guidelines and innovative approaches for recruiting
  • Manage, enhance and communicate benefits to increase employee engagement and stay within the annual budgets
  • Oversee all compensation programs including base salaries, bonuses and commissions to attract and retain top talent

Job Requirements:-

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred
  • Proven HR/Talent leader with 10 years of experience in HR, talent management, and training and development with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • SPHR/PHR preferred
  • Experience building and leading a high-performing HR/Training team
  • Experience and industry knowledge within the restaurant or retail or hospitality is preferred
